Burmillas
Burmillas are not a designer breed. They are recognized as a breed world wide and in Australia the breeding of Burmillas as an experimental breed is strictly controlled.The breed originated by an accidental mating between a Burmese and a Chinchilla, but now the breed development involves many generation matings to achieve the ultimate. Many people believe Burmillas are " Tiffanys" but this is not true. Burmillas are found in both long haired and short haired varieties, I am breeding the short haired variety but occassionally a long haired kitten could appear due to the LH gene being carried by a parent. There are very few registered breeders of Burmillas in Australia so beware that if dealing with an unregistered breeder you are not buying the genuine article ;so why a Burmilla? They are the purrfect cat for todays world, they want to be with you ,they want to be inside organising you. Their appearance is bewitching and this adds to their attraction.
